Drawing from the musical traditions of Africa, Asia, and India, Baltimore-based musicians Melissa Hullman, N Scott Robinson, KS Resmi, and Sue Borchardt weave the magical sounds of tabla, santoor, riq, and mbira; the warm glow of the harmonium; the soaring dance of violin and viola; and the entrancing delight of Hindustani and Carnatic vocals into a musical tapestry that invites listeners to journey into the depths of sound and soul. Practiced lying down, yoga nidra, is like meditation with a toy box. It guides us to the wondrously creative place between waking and sleeping where body and mind are quiet, allowing our innate clarity and presence to surface. We’ll prepare for the yoga nidra with body sensing and restorative yoga. No previous yoga experience is required so take a leap and find out what it feels like to be calm, clear, and centered.
